Summary
Defines how a normal (non-firefighters) lift behaves when a fire signal is received from the building fire alarm — automatic recall to a designated level and parking with doors open.
Who must comply
Building owners and designers, working with their lift maintainer and fire alarm contractor.
Key requirements
- Recall to a designated level on receiving a fire signal.
- Doors open on arrival and remain open.
- Normal landing calls and car calls disabled.
- Visual and audible indication that the lift is out of service for fire.
How we help
We configure, commission and test fire-recall behaviour during installation and modernisation, and verify it works on every routine maintenance visit.
